The comedy ends after two seasons.
January 13, 2018
It is being reported that Netflix has decided against ordering a third season of Lady Dynamite. The news comes two months after the release of the comedy's second season, which bowed in November with an eight-episode run.
The series stars comedian Maria Bamford, who plays a fictionalized version of herself as she sets out to rebuild her life in Los Angeles after being treated for mental illness. Critics widely praised the comedy not only for its vibrant and goofy style of storytelling, but also for its courageous and deep portrayal of a troubled psyche.

Season 1 was decent.. Season two felt like it was written while in a mental institution... just really scatterbrained and convoluted. It's too bad Ms. Bamford has to deal with mental issues.. but I can't really fathom why anyone is betting money on her when clearly she's unable to cope with life in general. She must "know" someone in Hollywood, there's no other excuse when talented, mentally stable, actors seem to struggle -- I just don't understand what Bamford has that seems appealing to producers.
