The psychological thriller will return for Season 2.

SundanceTV announced today at TCA that Liar has been renewed for a second season. A co-production with ITV out of the U.K., the thriller had already been picked up for another season overseas, making today's announcement more of a formality for stateside audiences.
The first season of the show followed newly-single teacher Laura, who is contemplating getting back into the dating scene. When she hits it off with a renowned surgeon whose son attends her school, the two are unaware of the far-reaching consequences that their meeting will have on each other and their families. Deceit has devastating costs, and lies end up rocking the lives of both the couple and their family.
Season 2 of Liar, which is said will be its final chapter focusing on a plot involving the cliffhanger of the first season, is expected to return in 2019.
