ABC announced today that The Bachelor has been renewed for a 23rd season. The reality dating series has continued to be a dominant performer for the network after more than a decade on the air, drawing remarkably consistent and strong ratings year after year.

I don't understand the appeal of this show. By the time it has finished airing, the "winner" will have likely watched the whole thing and seen that they are far from special. How can I be expected to get invested in this show knowing the failure rate of the relationships they have put together in the past? Ick

How many of these couples stay together, not many. At this point, what is the point of this show. They don’t seem to stay together. The losing man or woman most likely gets their own show to find suitors. In real life you fall in love in a reasonable amount of time not 30 days. And they wonder why the couples break up so soon.
