Starz announced today that Outlander has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6. The good news, which is now the fantasy drama's second two-season pickup, comes along with word that the already-announced fourth season will premiere this November.

The hour-long series has proven to be a strong performer in the cable network's lineup. Along with continued critical acclaim and a wide variety of award wins, Outlander has seen its audience grow over the course of its run.

Filmed on location in Scotland, Outlander is adapted from Diana Gabaldon's International best-selling eight-book series (soon to be nine). Seasons 5 and 6 will continue to be based on the same-numbered novels, respectively titled "The Fiery Cross" and "A Breath of Snow and Ashes". Each will consist of 12 episodes, down slightly from the 13 the show was given in Seasons 2 through 4.

No dates have been announced for Seasons 5 and 6 of Outlander, but respective premieres in 2019 and 2020 appear likely.
