No Season 3 for the Kiefer Sutherland drama.
May 11, 2018
ABC has reportedly cancelled Designated Survivor after two seasons. The sad news comes with only one episode remaining in the political drama's sophomore run, which will now act as its series ender.
The Kiefer Sutherland-led series premiered in 2016 as one of the network's best-performing new entries of the season, attracting a sizeable audience and even picking up Critics' Choice award. Viewers didn't stick around for long though, as its numbers dipped in Season 2 after the show's main plot wrapped up.
Designated Survivor marked Sutherland's first return to a TV starring role since his career-reviving role as Jack Bauer in Fox's 24 franchise. Sutherland plays a Cabinet member who is unexpectedly thrust into the role of President of the United States after a bombing at the Capitol kills a number of key government figures. After being sworn in as President, he starts to learn that the catastrophic attack was only the beginning of a much larger plan.
The series finale of Designated Survivor airs on May 16.

My husband and I both loved this show and we wish it would come back. The only thing we didn't like is when they brought Michael J. Fox on there. Honestly it ruined the show because we couldn't understand his words sometimes. Don't get me wrong we love Michael and we are very sorry about his illness but his days of acting has passed.

This is one show that I always looked forward to watching. Why is it that adult shows are always taken off the air, while the mindless shows are kept on? Please don't cancel the show.

The way they ended this season you'd think it wasn't canceled. Like all the other viewers here, I hope ABC brings it back! What a great show!

Sadly it goes to show that America thinks a president with honesty, integrity , class and an incorruptible heart is too far fetched to believe in. It’s obvious that it’s not what America wants considering who sits in the real Oval Office

I enjoyed the second season as well as the first season. Sorry to see it cancelled. President Kirkland came across as an honest person trying to do his best for the people of the United States. The FBI agent, formerly Nikta, provided the action.

Great show super cast awful decision to cancel. Check social media the viewers love. Bring it back with a great lead in a better time slot. Use it to teach people how government should work!

This show was good for about the 1st 2/3 of the 1st season. Then it went south. I like Keifer Sutherland but Tom Kirkman is a long way from Jack Bauer. I watched this last season but far from enjoyed it. I was done with it anyway so the fact it was canceled doesn't matter. I heard something about Netflix possibly picking it up but I don't really care either way.
