The new procedural is topped up with more episodes.
October 11, 2018
CBS has topped up the first season of FBI, ordering a reported nine additional episodes on top of its original 13 to bring its total to 22. The good news comes after a strong start for the procedural drama.
After its first three episodes, the series has proven to be the network's strongest new entry so far in the 2018-2019 season. Up against tough competition in This is Us on Tuesdays at 9:00pm, overnight ratings have averaged a healthy 1.2 in the adults 18-49 demo. The show has also topped all its time slot competition in total viewers over the past two weeks.
From creator Dick Wolf, FBI takes an eye-opening look at the inner-workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, including the combination of skills, intellect, and cutting-edge technology used to keep the city and country safe. The show's freshman run has gotten off to an interesting start, as not one, but two of its showrunners have already been replaced. Rick Eid and Derek Haas, who ran Chicago PD, will take the reigns going forward.

Dick Wolf USED to make good shows. Today even his Law and Order shows are barely watchable from all the Social Justice Warrior content they make. FBI is more of the same.

Didn't even watch, but so sad to hear when someone says they couldn't even make it to the 1st commercial. Pretty sad when people dont give shit a chance. It's sad and pathetic.

Anyone know if it is in the same universe as NCIS? If not then I don't get why CBS picked this up. Keep all the Dick Wolf crap on one network please.

From this very brief article here, I get a feeling that the show is a right-leaning one. And at least one of the two comments above mine seem to allude to that too.

Brosia & Tarawa...thanks for the update. I haven't watched it and now I definitely won't tune in. I also watch a wide variety of shows, but won't waste my time on this one. Too many other good shows in this time slot to watch.

Show is bad--gave a chance--three episodes...a waste of Jeremy Sisto's talents. Always liked Missy but this show downgrades her acting abilities. Directing is bad too (especially in the pilot) and didn't like the political overtones. Just one hour free from the political angst.

This show is awful. I couldn't get to the first commercial break. The only people I saw were cocky and angry women - angry at each other for absolutely no reason I could discern - or a couple of men that left absolutely no impression with me. I watch a wide variety of shows, and love police dramas in particular. This show was completely unwatchable.
