No Season 3 for the Marvel drama.
October 12, 2018
It is being reported that Netflix has cancelled Marvel's Iron Fist after two seasons. The sad news comes a month following the release of the drama's sophomore run. The show aired a total of 23 episodes.
Iron Fist was the fourth Marvel series on the streaming service and is the first of the five currently airing to get the axe. The news is not completely surprising, as critics and viewers had mixed reactions to it from the start. Issues from a rocky first season appeared to be at least partially-addressed in Season 2, but alas the consensus only mildly improved.
The series follows presumed-dead billionaire Danny Rand, who survived a plane crash only to mysteriously return to New York fifteen years later in order to connect with his past. Only now, his body is a living weapon with a mastery of kung fu and the ability to summon a power known as the Iron Fist. When a long-destined enemy emerges, Rand must choose between reclaiming his family's legacy and his duty to fight the criminal element as the Iron Fist.

I was done with this show anyway. Netflix original content is the best in the business but this was awful compared to its other shows. Hulu and Amazon started making original content after Netflix but either one alone has more cancelled originals then Netflix.

I think that one of the main problems is that Iron Fist and Cage are suppose to be a team not separate. I think both shows are are weaker because of that.

I wish Netflix would stick to buying shows instead of making them... This is one HUGE reason I went to Hulu. Hulu is doing it now... and I would sooner have more shows than "original content."

Iron Fist has not been the best Marvel show on Netflix, but it wasn't the worst either. Dare Devil and Punisher are the best...followed by Jessica Jones. The sad part is the previews for season three looked like there were finally going to get this show rolling like DD. I've bin-watched ever season of Marvel shows on Netflix. DD is the reason I finally broke down and got Netflix. If they cancel the rest of the Marvel shows I'm moving to Hulu.

I stuggled with the other shows. mostly Luke cage. I still have not finished season 2. pretty much watched all of Iron Fist straight through. oh well.

Cancel any other Marvel you want, as long as Jessica Jones is still on, that's good enough for me.

the lack of a costume doomed this show. take heed luke cage and jj. superheroes costume up eventually.

Its ok if they keep the story going on the other shows. Iron Fist can make appearances on Luke Cage (if that lasts) or JJ or DD. I hope they don't scrap the character or his hot girlfriend completely.

Im disappointed, but not surprised either. I thought S2 was much better than S1, but the last scene(s) completely ruined it for me. It became clear the showrunners were not the fans of the comice they should have been.
There are still rumors floating for a Colleen and Misti spinoff (Heroes for Hire?) that i think would be spectacular if done right. The ladies (Henwick, Stroup, Missick and especially Eve) ran away with the series this round. Id still watch S3 if it happened, but im rooting for HfH now...
