Netflix had some good news for Atypical fans this morning, announcing that the dramedy has been picked up for a third season. The renewal comes six weeks after the show's 10-episode sophomore release, which was an increase of two over its freshman run.

The half-hour series follows Sam, a teenager on the autism spectrum, and his family. Sam has recently embarked on the quest of becoming more independent, which includes new activities like spending the night away from home and entering the dating scene. The rest of his family are also going through some pretty big life changes, which they are all adjusting to in their own ways.

The streaming service has ordered another 10 episodes for Season 3 of Atypical, which should return in the second half of 2019.
