The afterlife comedy will continue in 2019-2020.
December 4, 2018
NBC announced today that The Good Place has been picked up for a fourth season. The good news comes ahead of this week's fall finale episode, ensuring fans will have more of the comedy to look forward to later in the 2019-2020 season.
Created by Michael Schur, who is also responsible for co-creating the likes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks and Recreation, the series premiered in 2016 and has done quite well for the network in its 13-episode limited run format. The show continues to garner praise from both critics and its loyal fan base, and pulls in consistently-healthy ratings as well.
The Good Place stars Kirsten Bell as a woman of questionable character who mistakenly ends up in a seemingly-ideal afterlife akin to heaven. Ted Danson also stars as the architect who created the community in which she lives.
There is no confirmation on the number of episodes planned for Season 4, but another 13 is likely. Look for a return in the fall of 2019. Season 3 will finish off its run in the new year.
(btw typo its Kristen not Kirsten "Place stars Kirsten Bell as a")
In short, this is a good show, so expect it to be cancelled?
