No Season 2 for the Sarah Silverman talk show.
January 9, 2019
It looks as if Hulu has cancelled I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman after just one season. The sad news was reported by Silverman herself, who took to Twitter earlier today to express her heartbreak.
Created and hosted by the controversial comedian, the series follows Silverman's quest to try and connect with people who don't necessarily agree with her personal opinions by using humor, honesty, taking a genuine interest in others, and of course never taking herself too seriously.
Well, Hulu cancelled I LOVE YOU AMERICA and we’re all pretty damn heartbroken.

... So in traditional twitter funeral style, I’ll be RTing the love.

GOOD RIDDANCE!! Silverman is an anti-American, baby-killing, spawn of the devil himself. Vile, disgusting, spiteful, and waste of human skin. There are very few people who are just absolutely rotten as Silverman....Clinton being one of them.

She won an Emmy because most of her "Comedy" focused around her hate for President Trump. So far every new show that focuses on hate mongering has been cancelled in 1 or 2 seasons.

You obviously dont have netflix or havent watched any of their original shows. Netflix has some of the best shows right now. I have netflix, hulu, cbs all access. I only keep netflix for the original shows. I watch the other normal cable/network shows on Hulu.

Mocking half of the country as rubes because they don’t share your idiotic anti-American Leftist views? GREAT premise for a TV show! Sarah, please...just go away already. You’re irrelevant. And take your horse nostrils with you!

Do you really think they would lower the cost? No they just would lose people who want to see the Original shows they provide. Which means you would have to pay a larger portion of the cost to run it. The original content is lowering the price by getting more subscribers.
If they are repeating a run of an episode that aired previously it is called a "Re-run." Reruns are not original or new. If you want new and low cost I recommend Youtube.

@Truth Say "emmy award winning original content" one more time lol

@ Truth
Wow, I didn't know, and I cannot believe this show won an Emmy. I don't let awards tell me which shows are good or bad.... I think for myself. I don't even follow them... so I could be watching shows.
I liked Sarah's self-titled show many years ago. It was ridiculous and so funny!! But this just wasn't good. I didn't like it.
I still say I would prefer to pay less for Hulu and Netflix if they cut out all the costs of production for their original content. Out of everything they have made, only "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" was good. I loved Arrested Development, but the Season 4 just wasn't as good as 1-3. I wish the show had continued on at the time. Oh well.
And @Truth -- Hulu has new shows (aired just the night before) all the time -- plus backlogs of great shows all the time. There is a lot of stuff I don't remember -- and shows I didn't see -- like Shark. I just finished Married with Children. Those were funny! I didn't watch Elementary when it first aired, but it is very good.
Happy viewing!

Sarah's show won a emmy It is hard to get ratings on cable. I do not like this lets kick the celebrity as they go down thing. Not all of them are jerks and as their career falls or declines I do not celebrate that. But you see that crap online a lot.

To answer your question: 1. Emmy's 2.Viewers really want the emmy award winning original content. 3. Most viewers are paying for the emmy award winning content that they want. 4. Nobody would pay for just repeats of non award winning content when they can get them on dvd or tv for less. Hulu tried it but didn't get much until they offered Emmy award original content. 5. If you try you die. If you try you might fail (this), but you might succeed (orange is the new black)
I think the question you want to ask is why you don't like the Emmy Award winning original content.

This show was terrible from Ep 1. I know it is hard to create yet easy to criticize -- but why doesn't Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix stick to repeating TV shows / movies and not create their own content? Wouldn't our monthly fees be less? Most of it is total garbage and gets cancelled soon anyway. The one or two good shows never last long because there isn't a wide enough audience. There is still a place for network shows... and there is a place for Hulu, Amazon and Netflix - repeating those shows and movies.
