The UFO investigation drama will be back for Season 2.
February 12, 2019
History has announced that Project Blue Book has been picked up for a second season. The drama premiered earlier this year on the cable network and has been garnering healthy ratings thus far, with its average of 3.4 million viewers in Live+3 making it the most-viewed new cable series this season.
Based on real-life top-secret investigation files, the series follows brilliant college professor Dr. J. Allen Hynek, who is recruited by the U.S. Air Force in 1952 to lead a clandestine operation that researches cases of UFO-related phenomena. Together with Air Force Captain Ed Ruppelt, the two face the prospect that Earth may be being visited and that they could be pawns in a nationwide disinformation operation.

Great show, I had an opportunity of meeting with and talking to Dr. Hynek in 1984. Most of the stories are well done and I would expect liberties in the writting for dramatic affect, they attempt to get closer to the truth in the highlight of the actual events at the end of each episode.
I hope it gets an additional season.

Love this show! I hope we have many seasons to go. They are getting most of it right, but they are exercising some artistic license with some of the historical facts in order to make it more dramatic. I hope that doesn't interfere with the success of the show. I always wondered, why do people see these super high technology craft, and immediately assume that they are extraterrestrial? Isn't it also possible that they have been here on (or in) the Earth for millions of years (hidden)-- and WE are the extraterrestrials? Just sayin' ...

I love stories about this subject and I like this one an am glad it got renewed but saying that I am disappointed somewhat in it.It shows the government much worse than even the X-Files.There is no doubt that they tried to cover things up but I think they show the military in a much darker light than they actually were.I also don't like the side story of of Hynek's wife and the Russian? spy.

A GREAT show , and this proves that if you have good writing you can do this type of show , the x files should come back with solid stories like this. The season was all over place, The acting is superb in this one too.

Great show, love the actors and the retro appeal of this show, it is nice to see that the executives at the History channel realize they have a well written, well acted and intelligent show to offer. I hope this show is on for a few seasons.
