Netflix has announced that Alexa & Katie will be returning for a third season. The good news comes less than two months after the comedy's sophomore release.
The series premiered early last year as the streaming service's first in-house multi-camera comedy. Episodes follow the titular characters who are lifelong best friends navigating high school together. Alexa is undergoing treatment for cancer, but she doesn't let that affect her enthusiasm for life. By her side is Katie, her quirky and fiercely-loyal best friend.
Netflix has ordered 16 episodes for Season 3 of Alexa & Katie, which is its largest order yet. The series will likely return later this year, following the girls in their junior and senior years of high school.
