Hulu announced today that PEN15 has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes three months following the comedy's freshman release on the streaming service, which has been met with favorable reviews from both audiences and critics.

The series was co-created by Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle, who also have lead roles and co-write some of the episodes. The duo play fictionalized versions of themselves as two thirteen-year-old friends in the year 2000 who are considered outcasts in their middle school at a time in their lives when the best day of your life can turn into the worst with the stroke of a gel pen.

Hulu has ordered 14 episodes for Season 2 of PEN15, which is four more than its freshman run. Look for a return in 2020.
