It's one and done for the book-based thriller.

It is being reported that The Passage has been cancelled by Fox after just one season. The news is not much of a surprise, as the series struggled over the course of its time on the air.
Premiering as a mid-season entry earlier this year, its initial numbers were fairly good considering the time of the year. But audiences didn't stick around, as its viewership tapered off steadily during its 10 episode run. The series finale aired on March 11.
The Passage follows a top secret medical facility where scientists are experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to the cure of all diseases, but also holds the potential to eradicate the entire human race. Amy Bellafonte is 10-year-old girl whose mother recently passed away. After she is selected as a test subject, the federal agent tasked with bringing her in ends up becoming her surrogate father, and will protect her at any cost – even as the project's progression threatens to unleash a terrible apocalypse.

I wanted to like this show so much but everything was just so contrived and hurried? For example, are we supposed to believe a bond that deep, between the girl and the agent forms THAT quickly? C'mon.

Wow, can't believe this got cancelled! Like other viewers, I would've loved to see what abilities Amy had. Sadly, we'll never know.

typical of sci fi shows on network tv. They killed this one. And that sucks. If you go back in time and see how many sci fi shows made it past one season , it looks pretty grim. However some did quite well back in the day. making at least 3 seasons. but most? even scy fy cuts many shows. But they have others to show.

I really liked this show! I was looking forward to seeing how Amy's abilities manifested. To me, this was a more interesting take on superhuman abilities than other shows! It'd be nice if networks would actually listen to their viewers rather than just watching incorrect stats. You know "ratings" are no longer accurate given the many ways of watching shows now!

The first season may have been a bit slow but the season finale left us with lots of questions! I’m so tired of networks not giving good shows a chance. Some of us don’t want to watch ridiculous shows about young adults making fools of themselves. I don’t even want to get invested in network tv shows anymore because they’re just going to get cancelled. And they wonder why Netflix is doing so well, the shows may not always be that good, but at least they don’t get cancelled after one season.

Well I guess they’ll be making another F*cking Gordon Ramsey cooking show. Fox is a joke! Was only watching 2 shows on the network. This and Lethal Weapon.

Not really surprised by this. I enjoyed it, but they used a whole season to tell a story that should have been two episodes.
