ABC announced today that Station 19 has been picked up for a third season. The good news ensures that the Grey's Anatomy spin-off will stay part of the network's TGIT lineup for the 2019-2020 season.

The firefighter drama premiered as a mid-season entry in 2018, airing 10 episodes that performed well during its springtime run. After a successful debut outing, the network moved the series to its regular fall schedule for the 2018-2019 season in the time slot following Grey's Anatomy as part of their TGIT lineup. The show continues to perform well there, airing occasional cross-over episodes with Grey's.

Station 19 follows the crew at Seattle Fire Station 19, where everyone from the captain to the rookies puts their hearts and lives on the line regardless of whether they are on duty or off the clock. These heroic men and women are like a big family, and together they risk their lives as first responders in order to save others.
