The family drama scores a three-season pickup.

NBC announced today This Is Us has been given a huge three-season renewal that will take it to Season 6. The popular drama was last renewed in 2017 for two seasons after an impressive freshman debut.
This Is Us came at the perfect time for the peacock network, as it was searching for its next bona fide hit. Premiering in 2016, it didn't take long for the show to make its mark. Its first episode was not only the highest-rated premiere of that season, but it was also NBC's most-viewed series premiere ever when factoring in its various delivery platforms.
Since then the show has continued continued to be a reliable performer, consistently ranking as one of broadcast television's top rated scripted series. Today's renewal will likely take it through to its eventual conclusion, as its creators have previously spoken about a six-season plan for the show.

Very slow paced, prefer to watch several in a row. Shame they killed off Randalls dad in the first season, he added a lot to the show.

@darmay hate to tell you but more families are dysfunctional than functional. There are so many parts toTIU that ring very true - rivalry, jealousy, in-fighting, resentment of a step parent...

I loved this in the beginning but have to say I do find it a little soupy and thin occasionally. Loving A million little pieces and The Village more right now.

This show best get better fast.....That family if despicable they way they treat each other. I watch it realizing how thankful I am my family is more respectful of each other.
