The horror drama returns in July.
June 24, 2019
There is finally some news to report on the upcoming third season of Scream. More than two and a half years since it was renewed, a premiere date and a new network has been set for the show's return.
The horror drama is moving from MTV to VH1 for Season 3, which will be a short six-episode run that will air over three nights beginning July 8. Titled Scream: Resurrection, the upcoming season will be a reset of sorts, with a new cast and setting. The original Ghostface mask from the movies will also be featured for the first time on the TV version of the show.
Look for the 2-hour premiere on Monday, July 8 at 9:00pm on VH1.

Well.....at least it's a completely different cast and setting, so it doesn't matter if we've forgotten where they left off. I'll look for a trailer and see if I'm interested in continuing or re - starting I should say. I honestly just assumed it had been quietly axed.

Dead on arrival
A 3 year gap between seasons is too long. This show is no longer relevant.
