The Zendaya-led drama will return for Season 2.
July 11, 2019
HBO announced today that Euphoria has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes four episodes into the drama's freshman run, which has so far been garnering a generous amount of critical praise.
The series premiered in June and has been performing well for the cable network. Currently ranking as its youngest-skewing drama, the show's first episode has so far been viewed by over 5.5 million people across its various platforms.
Adapted from an Israeli series of the same name, Euphoria takes a look into the world of a group of high school students dealing with issues around friendship, love, social media, sex, and drugs. Zendaya stars as a 17-year-old drug addict who’s looking to sort her life out after returning home from rehab.
Look for Season 2 sometime in 2020.

It's okay. Actually pretty relevant and not seemingly "pushing" a specific agenda - which is odd for a show having a primary character being transgender. I dislike the how many network shows shove LGBTQXYZ stuff down the throats of viewers.. but this show.. it doesn't seem that way to me. In actuality it comes across very "real". Everything is approached showing both positive and negative aspects... which you typically DON'T see. I'm not a huge fan of Apatow, I think she is the weakest part of this show with the monotone uninteresting voice-overs..... and realize she got the job via nepotism. But thus far.. I'll continue watching. It's not the top of my list... but its not irrelevant either.
