The futuristic drama will conclude in 2020.
August 4, 2019
Word is out that The 100 will be coming to an end after its already-ordered seventh season. Creator Jason Rothenberg took to Twitter this morning to announce the news to his followers.
The book-based sci-fi drama has had an impressive run overall. On the air since 2014, it is currently the third-longest running scripted series on the network. The 16 episodes ordered for Season 7 will take the show to a fitting 100 episodes total.
Set in a future where the Earth was previously-decimated by nuclear Armageddon, The 100 follows a group of young survivors who are sent back to Earth in a desperate measure to keep the human race alive.
Look for the seventh and final season of The 100 in early-to-mid 2020.

Sad to see go but it had a lot of great years, I will rewatch the series as long as they end well.

Well, sad to say, I guess this had to happen sooner or later. I've really enjoyed this series since it began, and am sorry to see it go... but at least the CW is giving them a final season to wrap up the story; something that they are doing more and more. Wish the other networks (yes, that means you, Fox...) would do the same, rather than leaving all the storylines hanging when they announce that a show has been cancelled.

This is a very grim show and the new season was of course grim. But I have enjoyed every season of it. I enjoy pandora but it is not similiar to this at all. This show is the constant die off of characters show , they even killed the earth off. Tv's grimmest show in a long while.

I watched season 1 and I thought it should have been cancelled right then. Since many liked it well enough, to my surprise, I guess I am long past the young target audience. There is a new series called Pandora which is airing next to 100. I tried this too and the problem may be I’m not in the target audience again. Those that like 100 may well like Pandora.

You I was surprised that this season wasn’t well received. I really enjoyed it. It’s like they brought the night blood chapter to the next level. I do hope there is a spin off or something

I quit watching after season 3 but went back to it last year watching seasons 4 and 5.Not crazy about this year which I don't think I'm alone as the ratings has gone down.Hopefully they will rebound next year and have a good final season.

Any chance of a spin off maybe featuring Clark & Bellamy?

This show lost me after season 2. Watched one and a half episodes of season 3 and I was done.
