VH1 announced today that RuPaul's Drag Race has been picked up for a 12th season. The good news comes three months following the crowning of the most-recent winner of the veteran reality competition.
The award-winning series has had an impressive run over the last decade. At nearly 150 total episodes, it has become a fixture in pop culture as growing numbers of viewers continue to tune in. Quality-wise, the show has remained at the top of its game as well. Just last month, it scored a record 14 Emmy nominations, besting its previous total of 12.
Hosted by drag icon RuPaul, Drag Race sees contestants participate in various challenges, with critiques by a panel of judges while trying to be the last one standing - and named America's Next Drag Superstar.
Look for Season 12 of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2020.
