ABC today extended the freshman run of Stumptown by five episodes to bring its total up to 18 for its first season. The drama has aired four episodes to-date, receiving a high amount of critical praise and drawing decent ratings on Wednesday nights in the 10:00pm time slot.
Based on the Stumptown graphic novel series, the series stars Cobie Smulders as Dex Parios, a less-than-perfect army veteran living in Portland, Oregon. She's quick-witted, carries a gambling debt, has a complicated love life, and takes care of her brother. She utilizes her military intelligence in her job as a private investigator, but her unapologetic nature makes her a target of dangerous criminals and often at odds with the local police.

So happy to hear this show has additional episodes. Its a quirky story - Dex teeters on the edge of normal, her best friend owns a bar bought with stolen money & she has a younger brother she has to look after. I like quirky characters. They keep the story complicated & thats a good thing. For me, at least.

This show was a surprise of how good it is. It was in a time slot where not a lot on. I watched it just to see what it is not expecting much and surprised to find it's now one of my favorite shows.
