The workplace comedy is given five more episodes.
November 5, 2019
NBC has bumped up the length of the current fifth season of Superstore. The network has ordered an additional five episodes to bring the comedy's original count of 18 up to a total of 22 for the 2019-2020 season.
The news isn't a huge surprise, as the show has been NBC's top comedy in recent years. Since its premiere in 2015 as a mid-season replacement, the series has worked its way up to anchor the network's Thursday night lineup in the prime 8:00pm time slot.
Superstore follows the antics of a diverse group of employees at a big-box mega store. The show's sharp writing and witty humor have resonated with audiences and garnered continued acclaim from critics. New episodes are currently airing Thursday nights.

I was a big fan of this show. I binged the first couple seasons, until I was caught up with the current ones. Last season's finale killed the show for me. Politics has no place in sitcoms, especially when it is cartoonishly false and flat out lies. This country is so polarized right now, and there is no need for tv to fan the flames of division.

Love this show! And yes it's a clone of The Office and its characters. Glenn is Michael, Dina is Dwight, Jonah and Amy are Jim and Pam, Mateo is Oscar, Sandra is Kevin...

Awesome. Everyone compares it to The Office, I could never get into The Office, too much hand held shaky camera motion for me

Watched a couple episodes early but could never hook into it. It’s basically The Office: retail edition, and the actors and characters aren’t as captivating.
