No Season 2 for the comic-based black comedy.
December 17, 2019
Word is out that Netflix will not be ordering another season of Daybreak, cancelling the black comedy after just one season. Co-creator and executive producer Aron Coleite took to Twitter with the sad news, expressing his gratitude to the show's fans with a heartfelt statement.
The series premiered in late October to generally-favorable reviews, though its viewership was likely on the low side, as the cancellation comes less than two months after its release.
Based on Brian Ralph's comic series of the same name, Daybreak follows a high school slacker in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles who is out to find the girl of his dreams while doing his best to outwit mindless ghouls and cliquish gangs along with his own group of misfits.

Tried so hard to be "Lord of the flies" with a "Ferris Bueller" vibe (heh).. For the most part it was okay. Not bad. But ultimately not that remarkable either.

It got what it deserved. Plot was driven by stupidity. I hated the ending. I would not have watched a 2nd season.

@Ryan
Ending did have a cliffhanger but it also worked as a ending in many regards. Would advise to finish it to pass time, especially if your half way there. Has some Ok comedic moments and is an easy light watch.

@Ryan
It is not a waste of time if you watch the whole story and it has a cliffhanger ending. That is the story. Unless they tell every detail of every character on screen they are leaving the story open ended. The waste of time would be starting the story but leaving halfway through. You didn't finish it why start it. You need to watch the Arthur episode "Unfinished"

I'm halfway through the first season and find it okay, simply something to pass the time.
Now that it's canceled though does anyone know if it gives a proper ending? Or does it end in a cliffhanger type? Just trying to decide if I want to waste time finishing the first season or not.

Was a decent show, would of been pleased to see it get a second season but no big loss.
