The veteran drama will say good-bye this year.
January 13, 2020
Showtime announced today during their TCA presentation that Shameless has been renewed for an eleventh and final season. The pickup, which comes in the midst of Season 10, will see that the drama has plenty of time to craft a proper and fitting end to its storylines.
The cable network's longest-running series, Shameless has managed to stay creatively strong and draw solid viewership throughout its run. Though its ratings aren't what they were in earlier years, it remains the cable network's top-performing series.
William H. Macy stars in Shameless as a deadbeat alcoholic father of six children. He survives by relying on unlawful schemes while leaving his kids to fend for themselves.
Look for the 11th and final season of Shameless to premiere this summer.

#Steve S. "Macy gets off scot-free while wife Felicity faces the music." What does this have to do with the tv show? Clearly you have an arm's length relationship with reality.

The time is right for the show to end before it got stale. A good run for a very good show.

The show is doing just fine without Fiona. Her character got stale a long time ago. Hooking up with good men then ******* them over. How many times is that going to be interesting? Seeing Frank's next new scheme is what keeps The Plopster intetested. The reason they are ending the show is because it is time to do so. That's it. I'm sure Fiona will be back for the last episode but I am enjoying the show very much without her.

We all knew this was coming there was no way the show was gonna survive without Fiona.

Shameless is a highly appropriate name for this showtime renewal. Macy gets off scot-free while wife Felicity faces the music.

Love this show. While there have been some seasons or storylines that make me wonder why we keep watching it, it always draws us back because we want the best for this family and to see where they end up. I hope that they bring back Fiona in the final season, even if just for the last episode. We will miss its craziness and crudeness.
