No Season 3 for the Lake Bell comedy.
May 21, 2020
ABC has cancelled Bless This Mess after two seasons. The network announced its pickups for 2020-2021 today, and the comedy, which aired its now-series finale earlier this month, did not make the cut.
Co-created by Lake Bell, the half-hour series stars Bell and Dax Shepard as newlywed New Yorkers Rio and Mike, who have left the big city behind and moved to rural Nebraska. After saying good-bye to family, friends, and their jobs, they soon realize that living a simpler life takes more work than they originally thought. The couple is forced to adapt to their new surroundings while dealing with unexpected challenges in their new life as farmers.

Bummer the show had some fun moments. Though some characters were too stupid for their own good.

I totally agree with Kristen. Season 1 was great - it was funny, sweet , and much more genuine. I like the way season 2 brought other characters into the foreground, making it more of an ensemble show, but it started to depend more on crudeness and cheap laughs. They had a formula that really worked - too bad they screwed around with it too much

Good. Season 1 was good but season 2 was a literal mess. It deserved the cancellation.

Nooooo, this show is laugh out loud funny and has SUCH a great supporting cast! I'm truly so upset. It was one of my top favorite shows that didn't have corny predictable jokes with laugh tracks.

It was a silly show, a late 2010s take on "Green Acres" from fifty years earlier.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

In the days where strong, funny comedies don't exist anymore, this was a beacon of light that gave us hope that good comedic writing still exists. Horrible decision by Already Been Cancelled (ABC). Let's hope there is another network thinking of picking it back up.
