The serial killer drama will not return for Season 2.
June 10, 2020
Word is out that NBC has cancelled Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector after just one season. The sad news comes three months after the crime drama's freshman run concluded, with its episode on March 13 now serving as its series finale.
The show premiered as a mid-season entry in early January, garnering a generally mixed reception from both viewers and critics. Ratings were decent in its Friday night time slot, but not strong enough to warrant a second season.
Based on the best-selling novel "The Bone Collector", Lincoln Rhyme follows the titular former detective and forensic criminalist as he comes out of retirement after the re-emergence of a notorious serial killer in New York City. Rhyme's connection to the killer is personal, as he was previously paralyzed by one of his traps. Teaming up with an intuitive young officer with a gift for profiling, the unlikely duo begin a deadly game of cat and mouse with the brilliant psychopath.

Loved the books really enjoyed the show. I wondered why Friday it would have fit better on a different night. Would love to see Netflix or Hulu pick this up. A great twist on the Detective Tv show

If you enjoyed the Show, Read the Books - they were a ga-zillion times better than the series. I couldn't get past the second episode sadly!! Loved Loved Loved the books though!!!

I will miss this show. It had good pacing. It was not drawn out and boring as many hide and go seek shows are. I especially liked Arielle Kebbel who played Amelia. She was one of my favorite characters in the recent Midnight, Texas series as well. It's a shame that she keeps getting stuck in one season shows. Russell Hornsby was also quite effective since he could only use his face to act this season. This show should have been renewed.

Ditto Rick. I'm glad they wrapped it up so anyone interested can watch it without the worry of a cliffhanger. I like procedurals that have individual stories and an arc. This fit the bill. I also liked the cast. Sad move.
