The serial killer drama will not return for Season 2.
June 10, 2020
Word is out that NBC has cancelled Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector after just one season. The sad news comes three months after the crime drama's freshman run concluded, with its episode on March 13 now serving as its series finale.
The show premiered as a mid-season entry in early January, garnering a generally mixed reception from both viewers and critics. Ratings were decent in its Friday night time slot, but not strong enough to warrant a second season.
Based on the best-selling novel "The Bone Collector", Lincoln Rhyme follows the titular former detective and forensic criminalist as he comes out of retirement after the re-emergence of a notorious serial killer in New York City. Rhyme's connection to the killer is personal, as he was previously paralyzed by one of his traps. Teaming up with an intuitive young officer with a gift for profiling, the unlikely duo begin a deadly game of cat and mouse with the brilliant psychopath.

Well, I was expecting that one. I have read some of the books and seen the movie. I didn't feel the actor was able to play the part at all.

It does seem that the good shows are given the short shift and the very bad ones go on for ever. I find it hard to find a show that is classy enough to keep me entertained. I suppose beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Of course. Instead of leaving well enough alone, they would add one last scene to set up for a second season that will never happen. ):

Not a bad show but I couldn't stand Amelia's hair. Either pull it all back or not but don't leave those two wisps just dangling on your face.

One episode was one episode too many. Thank you for putting this show out of its misery.

I enjoyed the first season and would have watched more. Didn't they wrap up the bone collector story? I remember thinking if it came back it would be "Lincoln Rhyme:..." hunt for some other new killer.

I hate NBC. I really thought this show had potential. I guess I am down to 4 shows on this poorly ran network.

I could not get into it and only watched 1 episode. I do like Russell Hornsby and hope he get's another show.
