June 18, 2020
HBO announced today that Betty has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes two weeks following the comedy's six-episode freshman run, which was generally-well received by critics and fans alike.
Based on Crystal Moselle's critically acclaimed film "Skate Kitchen", and featuring most of the cast of the original movie, the series follows a diverse group of young women in New York City who lean on each other as they navigate their lives in the male-dominated world of skateboarding.
Look for Season 2 of Betty in 2021.

I watched the first 5 episodes of the 6-episode season one... why only 5.. because it occurred to me... there was ZERO interest in this story. There's nothing compelling or even intriguing in all of season one. "A day in the life of" essentially with boring lives. Merely skatepark goers a vagina doesn't make the characters interesting and the storylines... well... nothing interesting. It's a waste of air time.
