No Season 2 for the comedic thriller.
July 10, 2020
HBO confirmed today that Run has been cancelled after one season. The sad news comes less than two months after the comedic thriller's freshman finale, meaning its May 24 episode will now act as its series ender.
The half-hour show was well-received by both audiences and critics. While it failed to make a significant splash in the ratings, it did develop a devoted fanbase who were left wanting more after its short, seven-episode run. Its finale did bring some closure to the storyline, but it clearly left a lot of loose ends for a possible second season.
Run followed a women who lived a humdrum suburban life until she received a text with the word "RUN" sent by her college boyfriend. It was 17 years ago that the two of them made a pact that if one of them sent that text and the other replied with the same, they would drop everything, meet up at Grand Central Station and travel across the country together.

Wrong place guy. You're complaining about your show being cancelled wrong. Also, when you run your own network you can decide what airs and what doesn't. So I guess you were wrong about this one huh?

I always give a show the first episode watching in full to see if I like it and want more, but this I almost turned off before it was over, so bad.

We didn't even make it through the first episode. Not surprised that it's not renewed.

Westworld is a mess and, after season one, quite possibly the WORST thing HBO has produced in a decade.

One of hbo's weaker series. But since they do not have that many series left , should they cancel this one? I get hbo when westworld is on , then cancel it when that goes off due to lack of very many series.

We almost quit after the first episode, but we let it bake on our Tivo and binged it towards the end of the season. IMO, it did get better (loved the Cop-Local sub plot, that deserves a mini-series), but the over arching plot was truly disgusting, and so really not worthy of a series. especially more than one season.

I really loved their chemistry, their blow ups and tender moments were perfect. I wish this show had lasted longer, I enjoy Merritt's awkward quirkyness since Nurse Jackie and I had developed a crush on Domhnall so this show was perfect to me.

Shocker! /s. Didn't take a psychic to predict this.

It had nowhere to go. I mean where they going to show her leaving her husband and kids? Him becoming some sort of creepy stalker? The "comedy" aspect would have died immediately. They wrote this into a corner, either intentionally or haphazardly.

Yet another show that I loved taken away! I don’t even know why I watch any shows anymore. I hate all networks!
