HBO announced today that Perry Mason has been picked up for a second season. The good news comes five weeks into the drama's eight-episode freshman run, which has gotten off to a solid start.
The show debuted on June 21 as the cable network's most-watched series premiere in almost two years. Critics have been enjoying it as well, with an overall positive reception of the storytelling, directing, and cast.
Based on the famed criminal defense lawyer from the novels of the same name, Perry Mason follows his early days as a struggling private investigator in 1931 Los Angeles. After landing the case of the decade involving a kidnapping that goes wrong, Mason's relentless pursuit of the truth reveals a fractured city and a possible road to self-redemption.

I get it now you're nick is an oxymoron. The writers and creators of the shows would prefer if just you stopped watching it. Thanks! The show is good. Definitely a lot better than about 80% of the garbage that's on now. But I know you're still hurt about that show Run being cancelled. Because that was so good.
