In Family Jewels, cameras follow the everyday life of KISS bassist Gene Simmons and his longtime partner and wife Shannon Tweed, along with their two children Nick and Sophie.

Really people, it was a terrible tv show, based on a has-been band leader, and his dumb opinions and stupid ideas. Thank God it's gone!! Kiss is a great band, but Gene should stick to music, 'cause he can't act.
As for everyone in here bashing each other, grow up and get a life!! This is supposed to be a place to share your opinions on cancelled shows, not to be big babies, and whiners bashing on each other!!!

The show was mostly scripted anyway. For instance, the jeweler said that Shannon herself designed the ring and chose the diamond herself. The presentation at the pier was NOT a surprise; she'd been working with the jeweler weeks prior. All the press stuff before the season suggesting that they were splitsville was just an act to revive the tanking ratings.

Susan you need to get a life. The show lasted six seasons and it beat the odds making it that long. I could see you being upset if the show was like so many other good shows that are canceled after a season. Hell, some shows start to look good and are canceled after two to five episodes.
A&E is one of the few networks that is not cancel happy. Had Gene Simmons Family Jewels been on any other network it may not have made it past the first season.
Networks count on their sponsors and if shows don't get the viewership that sponsors require than networks pull the plug.
I sometimes wonder if blaming the networks is the right thing to do. Should't we pay attention to the sponsors? They are the ones paying to keep shows on TV or drop them.

It was all very entertaining and there was many true "real" moments (as far as any "scripted" action, any viewer who does not believe they themselves are not constantly "acting" in everyday life need to reevaluate human behavior studies.) Thank you, Simmons family. A complete and total blast.
I'm not terribly upset, because it gives Gene some extra time to work with the band on another album to follow MONSTER.

Face it, Ryan. You're nothing compared to the KISS empire and to make such an immature post shows your are not 1/100th of the man as Gene. Good luck feeling sorry for yourself. Hopefully you will grow.
Family Jewels was a lot of fun. Gene and Sharon will be eternally proud of their children.
That's really all that matters.
One last thing, Ryan. There's nothing wrong with $ $ $ ideas unless you're some kind of Communist.

Are you seriously going to cancel one of the best rreality shows that has ever been on television?? I love watching Family Jewels and learning about Gene and Shannon and their family. I have a new found respect for Gene and especially Shannon , for all the things she went through over the years. It seems that it all has made her a stronger, confident, and independent woman, wife and mother. There is nothing I would like more than to meet them and sit and talk, well mostly listen to all the stories I'm sure they have to tell and watch the family videos with them. Everytime I like a tv show it gets taken off the air. This one is the one that bothers me most they may be rich but they were down to earth caring people and you don't find that kind of people in real life let alone on television, so thank you A&E for cancelling Gene Simmons Family Jewels. I don't know how you stay in business making such poor judgement calls. I won't be getting interested in anything other new shows you may premiere. Nor will I be watching you channel at all.

I loved watching a show where the kids do not run the house. Where a grown man has the ability to learn and grow and not be belittled all the time. Where a grown woman has the ability to cook and clean and guide her family without coming across as a hard nosed bitch. I will miss them. Thank you for letting us into your life.
