Patrick Jane is an independent consultant with the California Bureau of Investigation. Using his keen observation skills, he helps solve serious crimes.
He also used to act as a psychic medium, but admits his use of paranormal abilities is not real - a revelation that came about due to remorse over his attention-seeking behavior that attracted a serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter.

I wonder if this show will return next season? After all, they have wrapoed up th red John issue and now the two main characters have professed their love for each other. Where coukd it go from here? Looks like they wrapoed it up! Just in case.......

I have been a fan of the mentalist since it began! I love Simon Baker since he first began acting in the U. S. I enjoy the format of the show. the characters have excellent chemistry! I like how each characters have been featured. How they have grown and changed. How each of them have had to deal with issues I their own lives while dealing with difficult cases! plus how they help each other through difficult times! Also how they respect each others space good writing and good acting! I t is a keeper !

Love Patrick Jane. His smile is worth a thousand words. I think the new format where the whole team does a scam to catch the bad guy is a nice change from the Red John saga. Keep the show on please!

We love this show. It would be better if the cast was back in California at CBI. We have never missed a show.

This show went down the tubes when they switched from neighborly to Ho Hum! Get them out of "The Big City" and back to their roots. I know it probably opened up more storyline possibilities but I just don't care to watch anymore, Especially since the characters of Wayne and Grace have left. I have to wonder what other disruptions we'll see.

The Red John storyline was overdone! DID FIT JANE'S CHARACTER AND CERTAINLY DID NOT WORK!!! You had a character whose talent was paying a lot of attention to small details working on serial killer case involving national law enforcement officers!!

Love the show so much! I just wish you would have kept it on Thursday's because i now have nothing to watch. O and for those who have watched the latest season finale.... Who is the one person who know's whos on janes list? Lisbon. And Red John knew who was on the list
