Class, culture, knowledge - cancelled! What "waste of time program" replaced it?

I will add that I always thought it would be more popular if, instead of celebrities, "regular" people could apply to be featured on the show and trace their ancestry. Either way, still very disappointed it was taken off the air.

This was a great show that I had my daughter watch with me to better appreciate our heritage and to learn history. Whoever is making the decisions to cancel great NBC shows should reconsider cancelling this show.

Wow another example of when a TV show is too smart or makes too much sense,it won't last too long! I enjoyed this show.
If you liked this show check out "Finding Your Roots" on PBS. That show has more diverse subjects having their roots traced for example; One week it was Martha Stewart and Sanjay Gupta, the next John Ledgend, and the follwing week Michelle Rodriquez. They also don't always have celebrities as the subjects and seem to dig a bit deeper into the histories so that also keeps it interesting.
That's not to say I won't miss NBC's version though.

I am really upset that this show has not been renewed. Everyone in our family can watch it and we all look forward to seeing it every Friday night. It is always fascinating to watch the celebrities trace their ancestors. This show really got me interested in my family history. I am so sorry to hear this.
