A crime thriller following a former CIA agent who is hired by a mysterious billionaire who has a state-of-the-art machine that predicts future crime victims.
Reese is a presumed-dead ex-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire named Finch. Together they are on a mission to prevent violent crimes using their own brand of justice.
Reese is trained in covert operations and Finch is a software genius who invented a program that uses special pattern recognition to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes. Together, they work outside the law and unravel the mystery of the 'person of interest' and stop each crime before it happens.

CBS did this show injustice. The kept it off for 1 year and 8 months. Season 5 was so post to start in September like all the other ones. It doesn't. Last episode of season 4 showed on May 5th 2015. Season 5 is going to start May 3rd 2016. 363 days to keep people waiting. Even more scumbag like the network is cutting it down from 23 episodes down to 13. It sucks for the longest time it never told any if it was going to renew or cancel until January of 2016. Hope it ends well

there was a chance that we'd never get a ending to this show. It was looking that way. so at least we get a final ending. We don't know how many episodes but at least they can give us 12. or maybe less? I am sorry to see this one go. but I am thankful it has a ending.

Really CBS? You screwed us over by cancelling the mentalist, the unit, stalker and code black. Why haven't you announced the premier date for Person of interest?? This show is awesome!!!!! What's next you cancel criminal minds? I swear if you cancel both shows you will be hearing from me that's a promise.

CBS stands for CANCEL-BRILLIANT-SERIES. They're doing to POI what they did to THE MENTALIST. Compare ratings CBS, MADAM SECRETARY doesn't come close to POI. The former gets renewed while POI sits on the bench with an as yet undisclosed return date - all while looking as if it will end after it's shortened (alleged) fifth season.

I think Person Of Interest is absolutely amazing.
Over here in England we had a BBC series called 'Ripper Street' and when the BBC dropped that, Amazon Prime picked it up and it ran for another successful series. If CBS do cancel Person Of Interest then I do hope that Amazon does the same with this series as well? Person Of Interest is such an excellent show it doesn't deserve to be axed.
