A drama following a woman sent back in time from 1945 to 1743.

Claire Randall is a stubborn, yet lovely, combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously sent back in time to the year 1743. There, she is thrust into an unknown world that could threaten her life.

When she is forced to marry chivalrous Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser, it ignites a passionate affair that tears Claire's heart between two very different men.

bloody hell , still its consistant , still not a disappointment ..the fiery cross indeed showed some serious shocks against historical backdrop and of course the time travel and romance ..i say again whats not to like ?

I am huge fan of this brillantly written series that has everything thrown in but the kitchen sink. and I do mean everything that an epic tale should have. If anyone dares to read these epically huge books, you will never be able to stop until the last written word is thrown out to the shelves by this amazing storyteller. I am truly honored to have stumbled upon this story that feels like my life's blood, my beating heart, and my dying breath would expire if it ever truly ends. Yep, that's my writing and reading soul shivering slightly in the darkness of the end. The 10th book will be hard to end. Thank you, Diana Gabaldon.

Well at least its a possible eight seasons into nine if they doing a season per book then we are looking at nine seasons as Diana is writing ninth as we speak ...

i have been very very impressed with the series , yeah the rape scene could have been cut but they done it and broke the barriers of tv , well done for taking risk ...

season two and three were a rollercoaster of emotions, too long in waiting too but that's droughtlander , i must admit i thought it was gonna be a soppy female only series romantic rubbish but i got involved in it , i raved about it to the old man but told him this is the big premiere over Xmas ,we have a special showing of something over Xmas this was it and even my parents got hooked on it , got the dvds as well , its a series like nothing I've seen before it has sci fi , romance , history and a bloody good story.... What isn't there to like ...

you love and hate characters in the show historically as well as characters that are nothing to do with the setting but you get a feel of the time , you get caught up in it all ..

season three was one thing with the battles and the reuniting and landing now in Georgia...season 4 for what I know man are we in for a serious season to come but leading to season six , its got to continue on more , i want to see how it really ends....

starz you did a gamble and it paid off ... Ronald Moore after your legacy into battlestar paid off you come along and do this ...you have made a series that's really great ...keep it up !!

Starz do not cancel this damn well acted series ... I want to see this really run ...
after the last series finale ..this is one show i really recommended to people ...so what Jamie got raped in a cell in season one by black jack Randall ( what a bastard i want to see him get his deserts so much , ill bloody cheer) , season two in France ...mark me ... Damn great acting by all cast ...you got the right people for the show ...you really do hard work on the books , the chemistry between Claire and Jamie ...
its just amazing ..i stream this then get the dvds after , i love the show .... Starz you cancel this you will have a mutiny..
its just too bloody damn well done !!

I love this show. I could have done without the long rape scene. I don't care what sex the two people were.(both men). we get the point, with rape scenes less is more. We needed to see Jaime get broken, but they could have cut the scenes some. Still I am looking forward to four seasons at least.
