Enjoyed the first season very much, although I didn't appreciate the ending. If this season apparently followed the book, then what a crappy ending to a book! From what I've heard, the second season is just going to be "winging" the story line. Can we have a little bit of an explanation please?

I love this show. Of course, I also loved Twin Peaks and Lost, so I obviously don't mind not having everything explained to me down to the tiniest small detail. If you can't handle that, go watch Swamp People or Duck Dynasty. If the second season is anywhere near as good as the first I'll be in hog heaven.
And no, it's nothing like LaHaye/Jenkins' garbage.

I don't have cable, but I read a lot. This sounds like the "Left Behind" series written by LaHaye/Jenkins. Which is excellent written and most entertaining. You are fortunate to be able to view it on TV.

i didn't like this show, but watched the whole season hoping some things would be explained. In the end I'm just frustrated and have no intentions of watching the second season. I agree that it is a muddled frustrating mess. however hoping the writer gets ebola is extreme. jerry springer getting ebola however would be great then his show thats a waist of airtime would be cancelled.

I found season 1 to be a brilliant metaphor of the human condition, involving those mysteries we often try to ignore, both wonderful and horrific.. If you don't get it, then perhaps you're not 'experienced' and/or in denial. If you're just looking to be 'entertained', then you should look elsewhere, for now.

This show is really a metaphor for a blind date. You meet, chat it up, and then that 2% of what was going right is now turning left. It really comes off with self-indulgent, over-rated crap in which the only people enjoying the nuance, depth and substance of the scene are the people in it. Sorry, but this gentle persons is one where the Emperor is simply bare ass naked.

I agree with one the comments on herethat this show is not for everyone. Anyway, I like this program and glad to hear that it is coming back for a second season.

You all know how the story will end right?
All the "departed" people will reappear back on earth and a voice from the sky will say, "I was just messing with you."

This is a very well written show that also has great acting. To me this is just a continuation of HBO's excellence.

Episode 6 was some of the best drama I have ever seen. There's nothing wrong with this series; if you don't like it then that's that. We can't like everything.
