Tom Hollander's portrayal of Capote is perfection. He should without a doubt win an Emmy and a Golden Globe! It was wonderful casting to see such great actresses portraying such interesting high society women in history. He was a brilliant but sad and complex human, but his books were amazing. Sorry they never got to publish the last one, but it was probably going to be an apology to everyone anyway. BTW, he never had a swan killed to eat. The guy bought a duck and Truman believed it LOL

I liked the opening scene (s2 pilot) with real swans and no dialogue. But I couldn't get to ten minutes before I bailed. Not my type of show and even grossed me right out.

I clicked on the premier of Capote vs The Swans but there's nothing here of the like. Anyway, the Swans are glamorous friends Truman couldn't wait betray. Although, Capote famously remarked, “Babe Paley had only one fault. She was perfect. Otherwise, she was perfect.” He pissed her off anyway. Naomi Watts plays miss perfect.

Naomi Watts as Babe Paley
Diane Lane as Slim Keith
Chloë Sevigny as C. Z. Guest
Calista Flockhart as Lee Radziwill
Demi Moore as Ann Woodward
Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson
Tom Hollander as Truman Capote
Treat Williams as Bill Paley
Ella Beatty as Kerry O'Shea
Joe Mantello as Jack Dunphy
Chris Chalk as James Baldwin

Both actresses in this show should earn a emmy. You have two academy award winning actresses playing two academy award actresses from 1962. And this show is fantastic. The first episode was classic. And there's more coming? A real classy show for sure.
