NBC's freshman courtroom drama Outlaw premiered Wednesday to mediocre ratings, which could spell trouble for the show. In the adults 18-49 demographic, Outlaw earned a 2.4 Nielsen rating. Compared to other NBC shows from last year, that number is only 4% above Mercy's debut, and 9% up from the premiere of Trauma. Both those shows have since been canceled.

The show's longevity will ultimately depend on how other shows on the network fare over the coming weeks and months.
