Fox has ordered eight episodes of Howie Mandel's reality series Mobbed. In what was aired as a single special last night, the show brought in impressive ratings, earning a 3.8 in adults 18-49 and 10.8 million overall viewers.

The show aired following American Idol, and it drew the largest audience and highest 18-49 retention rate of any post-Idol reality show in two years. That was obviously enough for the network to give the go-ahead for more episodes.

Mobbed is hosted by Howie Mandel and uses hidden cameras to capture flash mobs surprising a targeted individual. Mandel is also credited with co-creating the show's concept.
