Single Ladies Returning For Second Season

VH1 has renewed its first hour-long scripted drama.

VH1 has announced that it has renewed freshman series Single Ladies for a second season, expected to premiere in 2012. The show is getting set to air its first-season finale on August 8.

"Our viewers have fallen for ‘Single Ladies’ and its honest, modern take on love, female friendship and dating," said VH1 Executive Vice President of Original Programming & Production, Jeff Olde, in a press release. "We’re extremely pleased to give the audience another great season of the series they love."

Single Ladies is the network's first hour-long scripted series and has fared well over its first eight episodes. The comedic drama has been averaging 2.8 million total viewers (premiere + first encore) on Monday nights.

I love this show. Especially Kisha. Can`t wait for it to return. The new Sex in the city.

This show should be cancelled. It has taken women 10 steps backwards. It's not reality. It's in poor taste & it's not entertaining. Very cheap. Acting is horrible. C actrsses. I was so surprised Stacy dash even agreed to do a show like this. She woke up.

I have been waiting for Single Ladies return, this week, I became a little concern about its return - so I had to go online to see what's the word. I would hate to lose ths show but I know the sooner it returns for success the better - it can't stay away too long - it hurts viewing I think. I love it and know that it is worth the wait.

Great show. Leaves you on the edge of your seat awaiting the next development. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry and start production again. We viewers are anxious! The characters are all perfect for their parts. Wonderful cast.
