CTV will not continue on with its Canadian version of the popular dance competition.

Canadian network CTV has cancelled So You Think You Can Dance Canada. The news comes just days after the show aired its fourth season finale, but was somewhat expected. During the season, the program never made mention of a stadium tour by the show's Top 10 dancers, as is typical for both US and Canadian versions of the show.
The Canadian version of SYTYCD is just the latest of US-based reality shows to fall by the wayside up North. Canada has previously had its own versions of many popular American series. Shows such as Canadian Idol, Canada's Next Top Model, Deal or No Deal Canada, and Wipeout Canada have all had their shot but ultimately failed to become as popular with Canadian audiences as their US counterparts.

We are very sorry So You Think You Can Dance Canada has been cancelled but has The American version ever considered offering Canadian dancers to join the competition you know like a north American ensemble?

I've just learned this news today and I'm very disappointed. As admitted by one of the American judges, the best of our dancers were quite simply better than their American counterparts. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed both programs, but preferred the Canadian version. It's a shame that so much talent may never be realized due to this. Could someone else pick it up???

The sad part about this cancellation is that the Canadian talent was better than their U.S. counterparts. Yes...some of the judges were annoying but we just lost a great platform that showcased some amazing dancers.

I agree with above comments!! Leah Miller was sooo annoying! All judges were self righteous. I stopped watching half way through the season!

Goes to show how a good host and judging panel makes a big difference! I am not going to miss Trey, Leah Miller or John Mark!
