ABC has called for six more scripts of the sophomore comedy.
October 13, 2011
ABC has issued an order for six more scripts of comedy Happy Endings. While the script order doesn't guarantee they will be eventually turned into episodes, it's still a good sign for the series that got its start as a mid-season replacement.
The sophomore sitcom is three episodes into its second season, where it has been performing solidly with an average a 3.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. Last night's episode actually rated a series high 3.2, perhaps prompting today's script order.

While most of the situations are not very original (although they do throw in some twists, like Max hitting on Brad's boss, or the guy living in the ceiling cavity), the banter in this just keeps flowing thick and fast, particularly from Max and Penny, and between Brad and Jane. Most of them talk before they think, in a manner that shows that they've known each other for a long time. Funny show, one of my current top 10 shows out of everything that's currently airing. Good to see it will/may/should be around a while longer.

Love this show so much, it's acceptably cheesy, funny, and clever. The best part is that they keep it coming week after week. Please keep the scripts coming, and let's hope for a successful season 2 and hope for many future seasons.

Ugh. The show needs to die already. At least the writers will get paid.
