TNT will not bring back the Jason Lee police drama.
October 14, 2011
TNT has cancelled Memphis Beat after two seasons. The cop drama, which starred Jason Lee, aired its last episode on August 16.
The series is the network's second recent drama to be cancelled - Hawthorne was given the axe in early September.

No MB--and soon no Closer--no Bones--Eureka-----all the shows we find that are quirky, or thought provoking go down the drain. Yet we are bombarded by "reality shows" that draw the low-life masses. Guess there is no accounting for taste. I thought TNT knew better.

Come on, this was a great show-not too serious or dark, great music and scenes of Memphis and what's not to like about Dwight!!

It's nice to watch a show that was entertaining and provided great music near the end of each episode. TNT had a great listing of shows that my wife and I enjoy(ed). TNT was becoming a staple within our nightly watching of television. Hoping you don't go the way of ABC. I think my viewing of any of their primary shows is down to one a week. I have a two DVRs and I record maybe 5 to 8 of yours shows. I think that's a pretty good sign that you were doing the right stuff. But cancelling this show really makes it chance that your entertainment viewing has be chopped maybe by an hour. Not really a reality type show person so hope you don't replace this with something that stupid. In fact, renew this show and keep me watching TNT over all the other choices that are available.

I cannot believe you are not bringing Memphis Beat back, the shows on now leave a lot to be desired. It was a good show without the smut and over the top sex scenes and nudity.

I agree that TNT should reconsider, Memphis Beat is a great show. Would be nice for once for viewers to be listened to. Very bad move in my opinion.

Few shows currently on tv have the high level of writing and acting as Memphis Beat. What are you going to replace it with? I will not be turning the channel to TNT.

Shame...shame...shame on you!! Elvis fans are very upset at this, at least this one is. Jason Lee and Alfre Woodard were "spot on" with their characters. TNT just "blew up" a great show...regrets will be forthcoming, I predict. We, the viewers, all sit here like Bobble-heads with no say and getting no respect from the industry. You guys just shove junk in our faces and we are supposed to smile and go on. Then when we do get a show like "Memphis Beat" with great actors and some real "meat" in the script, you jerk it away from us and say, "OK, take that!" And we do...but at least we can voice our opinions concerning your poor decision...not that it will gain any ground, I'm sure.

Are you crazy? You take off a great series and leave on shows that I would rather have a tooth pulled than watch or let me say I DON'T PLAN TO WATCH. You have lost one viewer.

I loved the show, I currently live in Florida but I was born and raised in Memphis, Tn., alot of the places where they would go on the show or mention, I knew where those locations were. I still have family there and watching the show kind of made me feel nostalgic for the city. I wish they would bring back the show, my husband and I loved it.
