The Ashley Judd drama will not be back next season.

ABC has cancelled Missing, the Ashley Judd drama about a mother whose son mysteriously disappears. The show premiered as a mid-season replacement back in March but stumbled out of the gate, failing to amass a substantial weekly viewership.
It has so far aired nine of its 10 ordered episodes, with the series finale set for May 17, 2012.

Great show. Great cast. Young actors who could really act and terrific story lines with unexpected turns. Agree, it's just like a great book. But (in the U.S. at least), the networks want immediate results. The show had no promotion to speak of. Think about the pre-promotion for "the Voice." Really sad. One of the best shows on T.V. The networks see only one season at a time. Just like investment houses see only one quarter ahead. Our culture is becoming a laughing stock internationally (rich but stupid, uninformed and lazy, fat, ignorant, yet powerful -- sounds pretty bad doesn't it?). Great show. Hopefully another network will buy the show and take it further. Hello TNT or USA? NCIS and Law and Order are getting a little stale after the 50th rerun.

At the end of the final episode the mother ( AshleyJudd ) went missing from the car and it roled in front of the husband and son when they went to the car there was a bit of blood and she was gone. So that lead me to believe there was going to be a 2nd season at the least. Like what Lind of an ending is that? If they planned on cancelling the show you'd think they'd end it with a bit more closer then that.

One of the better shows of the season...good storyline lots of action and included veteran actor Sean Bean which was a plus...ABC should give this another chance perhaps another time slot...

I can't believe it. Apparently, people did not watch the show. It was GREAT! PLEASE, PLEASE change your mind. I loved the show, taped it, and show it to my family and friends and got them hook in watching it. What a big mistake ABC.

Oh No!! I loved this show! I was able to travel the world just sitting in my easy chair. I hate all of the stupid reality shows. Each episode made me feel I was reading a good book. Please oh please bring it back.

Loved this show. Each episode was something new and different and kept me waiting for the next episode. So disappointed that this won't continue to Season 2. want to know what happened to becca and what will become of her and her husband and her son and his new girlfriend. Hope ABC reconsiders picking it back up.
