Miami is the first of the franchise to end.
May 13, 2012
Some sad news for fans of the long-running CSI: Miami. CBS has cancelled the crime drama spin-off after 10 seasons on the air. The show got its start back in 2002, two years after the network realized it had a franchise-in-the-making with the popular CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
CSI: Miami is the first of the franchise to be cancelled. The series ends after 232 episodes. In related news, CSI: NY was renewed today for a ninth season.

It may be better, but with so much of the original cast still around it's production costs have got to be high.

This stinks! CSI Miami is so much better than CSI (Las Vegas). The execs at CBS are idiots!
