Miami is the first of the franchise to end.
May 13, 2012
Some sad news for fans of the long-running CSI: Miami. CBS has cancelled the crime drama spin-off after 10 seasons on the air. The show got its start back in 2002, two years after the network realized it had a franchise-in-the-making with the popular CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
CSI: Miami is the first of the franchise to be cancelled. The series ends after 232 episodes. In related news, CSI: NY was renewed today for a ninth season.

I so hate this! I was looking forward to it returning. I absolutley love Horatio and his team. They work great together. I stopped watching the original one b/c it got too corny after William Peterson, Laurence Fishburne, and Marg left. Now, I'm forced to watch some mess!

good show. hate to see it cancelled. we don't need another talk show, reality show or cooking show. what is happening to the 3 major networks? who needs to see more rude ill mannered people on another reality show when we watch tv to escape these very kinds of people we deal with every day!

Is anybody getting tired of the big corporate morons cutting good family shows for crap? Who cares who can sing for a contract, or watching idiots run all over the country in a race. Want to talk quality u can't get much better in this era then CSI anything other them bluebloods. What shows can a family sit down and watch together that isn't junk, vulgar, or just about sex? Wow. I know the world is getting dumber because the smart people in corporate keep shows like survivor 300 ( just survive and b done with it already) Jersey, and Unforgettable which after watching that non dialog show I wish I could forget it. Face it you all, family shows are dying and young bad language no talent hacks are in these days. Guess at least football is coming back soon.... sad day. Good bye Carrusso

I have watched this show from the beginning and absolutely love it. CBS you are missing out by cancelling this show. RETHINK your decision. TOO much reality TV and it's going down hill!!! I'll just by the DVDs and watch the reruns! It'll be better than any "realty show" you put in it's place!

CBS cancelling this show is really bad business. They should have cancelled "Big Brother" for all I care. All they are showing, is a bunch of young adults engaging in extremely bad behavior, like "Jersey Shore" just for ratings. Plus, they should have left the show Monday night, instead of Sunday night.

The trends are shifting towards reality shows. So for me it looks like CBS... *put sun glasses on* ... is "out of season".
YEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!

I to feel that the crap reality shows should be axed. Bring back CSI Miami. Who cares about all of these would be singers etc

To be honest, Miami was the weakest of all three CSIs-- it often lacked the quality plots that the original had and the characters were flat in comparison to NY. If any of the three had to go, I think this was the one to axe.
Saying that, CSI: Miami was still better than most of the garbage that survived this season's cuts.
