The drama will return in 2013 with 13 new episodes.

Fans of Lifetime's Army Wives can breathe a sigh of relief, as the network announced today that the popular drama has been renewed for a seventh season. In recently weeks there was an abundant outcry from fans of the show who assumed it was being cancelled after TV spots for the end of Season 6 billed it as simply the "finale" as opposed to the usual "season finale".
In a statement, network Executive Vice President, Rob Sharenow, said, "Army Wives is a very special program. It's rare to find a series that connects with viewers and resonates so powerfully after six straight seasons, and we couldn't be prouder to have it return to Lifetime next year."
The show performed strongly in its sixth season, averaging 3.2 million Total Viewers. It also held the distinction of being the number one ad-supported cable series in its premiere time period among Women over 18.
Lifetime has ordered 13 new episodes of Army Wives for Season 7, which is set to return in 2013.

My wife and I are faithful in watching the series. The acting is superb. The series is especially liked by us because it is filmed in our home town. Nice seeing some of the familiar sights from time to time. Hope all actors and actresses will be returning for season 7.

Kim Delaney has been busy filming a mini-series, so that appears to be the reason why she has been missing from the last several episodes (per imdb.com ) I don't know if she'll be back or not, rumor has it that all the actors/actresses contracts are up for renewal. I did read that Catherine Bell has signed on, so at least Denise will be returning. I love this show and so does my husband!
