@all those that enjoy reality shows:
If you want to watch reality, grab a lawn chair and sit on your lawn. Thats far more real than any "reality show" will ever get. Reality shows are staged and crap and they make me sick to my stomach. I for one and HAPPY shows like this are coming to an end

Sorry to see this show go away as it was one of my guilty pleasures. My wife started me on the show many years ago. What always impressed me was the way it actually promoted positive change for people. Many of the folks on the show underwent much more than a cosmetic/wardrobe makeover and actually found renewed self-esteem and emotional growth through the experience. I just hope that TLC doesn't replace it with more of the trashy, fake reality junk that has been flooding the airwaves of late.

I just went through all of the cancelled shows, and almost half of them were shows I loved! I am tired of these stupid reality shows that make no sense, and are not taken off! Is this what the average TV viewer wants? I know I don't! There are times at night we have nothing to watch because of the quality of programs. I can't believe they call some of the shows comedies!! Comedy shows were many yrs. ago, when you gave an honest laugh because they were funny! Another thing I hate that the networks do is pit 2-3 shows against each other. Thank goodness I can tape some of them, or watch On Demand, thru my cable company, which helps when there is nothing on, or repeats..

I am sorry yo hear that "TLC" is ending another series where some positive learning is possible. And for what - another piece of garbage like Honey Boo Boo which is an insult ot the taste and intelligence of the human race.

Ryback you are spot on. I have found some so called reality shows that I can stomach but as I said in my previous post, this show did real good to last so long.
Without lowering itself to trashy standards it is remarkable it was such a long running series.
Either people find a TV show or shows they can handle watching after this show is off air or they can simply watch movies, documentaries or they can spend more time with their favorite music which they own that can not be canceled.

This show has ran it's coarse. It will have a tenth season. Many other great shows have been canceled very shortly after they premiered. Those of you not wanting to see this show canceled should be glad your show was on TV so long. The way things are these days with unrealistic expectations for ratings, this show beat the odds of many other good shows that failed.
Just be happy for this final season and hope that something else you all like takes it's place. If not, in the era we live in there are plenty of programming choices.

This was a great show(about helping people). Why not get rid of trash like Honey Boo(a show about overweight trashy parents & children who lead uninteresting lives) & Duck Dynasty(staring unkempt bearded swamp rats).
