The troubled comedy will not return.
May 9, 2013
NBC has cancelled sophomore series Up All Night. The comedy was in the middle of its second season last year when it was put on hiatus accompanied by an announcement that it would shift formats from a single-camera setup to multi-camera shot in front of a live audience. The plan fell apart, however, with the show's creator, as well as star Christina Applegate, departing the series shortly afterwards.

I thought it had been cancelled when Christina Applegate left. Turns out that probably was the case

With all the changes made to the show format, and Christina Applegate leaving cancellation was inevitable. The only way to make this work would have been to replace Christina's character and I doubt it would have worked. I hope Will Arnett finds something else. I think he's hilarious.
