The new drama gets the early axe.
October 4, 2013
ABC has cancelled freshman drama Lucky 7 after just two episodes. The show got off to a rough start last week when its premiere pulled in a lowly 1.7 rating among adults 18-49. Things got worse this week, where it fell to a dreadful 0.7, causing the network to pull the plug.
Lucky 7 becomes the first broadcast series of the 2013-14 season to be cancelled.

hate to tell you all but this show was all ready made in the US and cancelled back in 2006.

the exact same premise and story line, and had much better actors. didnt make it back then, what possibly made them think it would work now

Nope, Alex, they are as famous as you or me. Robin Williams, Michael J. Fox, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Sean Hayes, you know actual famous people had shows that came out this Fall. And then Lucky7 gives me an ensemble of nobodies and puts it in an impossible time slot. This had CANCEL written all over it from Day 1. I'm just glad when I can see something coming and don't let the networks chew up my DVR time and I don't waste my tiem watching.

I enjoyed it more than The Syndicate which was the original british version.
However Lorraine Bruce (who played Denise in the UK version as well) sucks at an American accent.

I was trying to like it, I really was, but it just wasn't happening.

I watched some of the first episode, then decided that I'd rather be watching RERUNS of Person of Interest than the rest of the Lucky 7 pilot.

I'm confused. They put this one to compete with Person of Interest, and they expected it to do well? wat.

John, there wasn't a SINGLE person? Not even Isiah Whitlock, Jr. You know, Senator Clay Davis from The Wire? SHEEEEEIT!
I never watched the show but a lack of famous people isn't a good criticism. Nobody was famous on The Wire or The Sopranos before they started. Same with Friends, Mad Men, Veronica Mars and many many others. Most actors aren't born famous, you know.
